Washington, D.C. 20036

Thousands of activists, including Jeff Blum, Ethan Rome, and Nan Aron, took to the streets on March 9, 2010 to call of the arrest of health care CEOs and demand that Congress pass health care reform.

Please join us at this celebratory event to mark this great occasion, and for a discussion about what it took to win this victory.

Health care for all Americans, a goal that had eluded progressive forces for ninety-four years, is now the law of the land. These engaging speakers bring with them decades of experience as progressive organizers. Jeff is currently Executive Director of USAction; Ethan is the Executive Director of Health Care for America Now.

WE WILL BE DISCUSSING:

• What can activists working on immigrant rights, climate change, jobs for all, labor law reform, the judiciary, marriage equality, and other issues learn from the health care battle?
• What did it take to organize and support a progressive campaign to win health care reform?
• What lessons can we learn, especially during the run-up to the 2010
election? How can HCAN serve as a model for future campaigns—and what is next on the horizon?
• How do progressives prepare to wage the next battle to improve
legislation down the road?
