The Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE), Advocates for Youth, the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS), and Choice USA are pleased to invite Washington-area interns to participate in an Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill, the culminating event of the 2010 Summer Intern Training Series on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and HIV/AIDS. Tuesday August 3rd, 2010; 9:30am-4:00pm Advocacy Day begins with training that will cover how to meet with congressional offices, what to expect from staffers, and key messages and talking points related to domestic and international SRH and HIV/AIDS. Following the training, interns will meet with their legislators’ offices to advance key SRH and HIV/AIDS issues (the “asks”), integrating knowledge learned during the summer intern series.
